The AbbyBubba Story
AbbyBubba Pet Care began as a way to trade guilt for grace — turning past mistakes into meaningful service for pets and their people.
For years, I carried guilt from using outdated training methods with my dog, Bubba. I was loud, forceful, trying to be the boss… but it never worked.
Bubba still dragged me down the street and caused general chaos wherever we went.
I felt ashamed and defeated.
Even after earning over 100 five-star reviews as a dog walker and pet sitter, I doubted myself. I left pet care to apprentice as a service dog trainer, hoping to gain confidence. But I quit after two months, feeling worse than before.
In 2022, I turned to equine therapy. That’s when my counsellor asked if I’d heard of Tellington TTouch or Animal Reiki. “Ummm… No,” I said. She suggested I try it. So, I did.
I’m obsessed! Since June 2022, I’ve met bi-weekly with the Tellington TTouch community, learning from seasoned practitioners.
With their ongoing support and decades of experience behind me, I feel fully confident helping pet families build emotional, physical, and mental balance.
I’m proud to be in pet care again.
AbbyBubba Pet Care offers a uniquely gentle approach to pet sitting and dog walking—one that honours the intelligence and sensitivity of every animal.

Bubba
Bubba was my fun, incredibly annoying, Labrador Samoyed Cross. He kept me out of trouble for 12 years. I thought loving dogs was enough.
It looks like I needed to learn humility, patience, and persistence too.

Abby
Abby was a beautiful brindle Boxer — my first full-time dog walking client in South Delta. At 13 years old, she had many health issues including heart disease and severe arthritis.
Abby’s slow, determined enthusiasm still inspires me.
